Idea
from personal interest – gather people how like me – prototyping –
commercialize – expand products
Early-Prototyping is the key of my PCM. I
believe in group knowledge is powerful when it has simple and clear enough
direction. Prototyping makes people practically think about it, because they
can use it, not like just imaging. As I said in classroom defect of early
customer engagement, which is early-prototyping, open cost of product is
critical. However you can make them in your side as evangelist and you can save
R&D and Marketing cost.
Now I think about to build a online
community, minortargets.com. Because most of my ideas are come out from my
personal interesting, it is quite a narrow starting target. However I think
every company that exist more than 5 years has quite a sharp target group in
the beginning. Either customer that are out of your target are convinced your
meaning or you reach more narrow customer by overcoming physical and mental
barriers, you can get more customer soon or later.
2. PCM

honest on my personal interests during life time.
Support tool is idea section in my
notebook(paper). Build up idea is important. Sometimes idea flow into my mind
in a day, but it is rarely happen. Absorb, envision and connection is step of
how can I build up my idea. Since my brain memory capacity is not good enough
to keep every idea and thinking until they are met the chance to connect each
other, I need to keep tracking my idea and interesting. This is why I use
notebook.
I am not sure that I can change world or
life of everyone, but I am sure I can have influence on someone’s life as I
already did with DIY projector. The possibility is depended on how want to
live. One thing what I want to do is let people know about meaning of possession
rather than that of consuming. This is one another reason why I engage customer
into my business, because through commitment they also build up their experience
and emotion with product.
3. Prevent Type
I and type II error
When can we define something fail or
success? How can we decide it? If someone said comparing outcome of each option
is the key, then how can we measure not-happened option’s outcome?
Anyway, to prevent type I and type II
error, I suggest to measure two things. How
much we passionate with idea and how it fit into yourself and company’s
management resource.
First of all, if we think ideas need to go
through a funnel to become one good product, what is the key? I believe it is
not any other thing, but strong desire to do.
As you can see picture below, idea is just
a small piece. To become a sustain business we need management between idea and
sustain business. Every organization has different resource. We need to
understand our resource and also understand what is expecting resource to
achieve idea. However most of time expectation is different, this is why you
need passion about your idea.
